The City boss will turn 50 this month – a significant milestone in anyone’s life - and has now surpassed 700 games as a manager.
He says the experience he has gained over his 13 years in the dugout means he is better equipped for the job than ever before.
And having suggested previously he would not manage into his 70s, he now feels he could go on longer than planned.
“No, of course I am better, definitely,” he said ahead of Sunday’s game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
“Experience helps you - especially the way I live my profession.
“Before I thought I would retire soon, now maybe I am thinking I might retire older. I don’t know.
“50 already, it is a nice age!”
