In our first game of preseason, City beat Club America 2-1 thanks to a fine double from Kevin De Bruyne.
And Guardiola says the occasion was special, with the amount of City fans inside the iconic venue a sign of our growth in recent seasons.
“It’s an honour,” he said. “We are so proud.
“When we arrived here five, six years ago and lost to United there were only a few blue shirts and now there are a lot.
“We were happy to see them and the game was really good.”
