Pep Guardiola is pleased to see youngsters James McAtee, Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Oscar Bobb commit their futures to the Club by signing new contracts.

The trio have all played an important role in our Elite Development Squad’s march to the top of the Premier League 2 table this season while also regularly training with the first team.

Both McAtee and Wilson-Esbrand have both been rewarded with their senior debuts during the 2021/22 campaign, while Bobb also featured on the bench in our 4-1 FA Cup win over Swindon.

And their exploits have seen all three rewarded with new deals earlier this week.

Asked whether McAtee in particular had benefited from training with Guardiola‘s men, the City boss said: “We don’t have an incredible depth of squad, we cannot forget he is just 19 years old so training and developing with us is so important for him.

“Still this six months to the end of the season he will stay here and train with us and we might need him but in the future we will see - maybe we will need him.

“He arrived at the Club as a little boy, he is a Manchester City supporter, he loves to be here.
