The Manchester City has earned many plaudits for his aesthetically pleasing, free-flowing philosophy which has delivered so much success, but he acknowledges there are plenty of ways to win.

“The important thing is to win games,” he said at his pre-match press conference ahead of City’s game against Fulham.
“It doesn’t matter how you do it. You can win games sitting back defending one or two actions and counterattack.
“Football has many different options.”
Ahead of City’s trip to Craven Cottage, Guardiola expressed his admiration for the attacking approach Scott Parker has adopted despite his side being near the bottom of the Premier League table.
The 50-year-old believes such courage is a common theme amongst younger managers, who he feels give their players belief they can go toe to toe with the title chasing teams and win.
“What I have seen lately is young managers with courage,” added Guardiola.
“They say to their players, maybe we are going to lose, maybe we don’t have enough quality like the top teams, but why do you have to defend 90 minutes? Why do you not have to play football?
“This is my feeling, maybe I am wrong, but these guys are saying to their team, you are good enough to go there to try and win the game. The managers do this because they believe it is the best way to win games.
“The other managers say no, we are worse than them, we cannot compete with them, we are going to sit back and wait for one action to punish them.”
