Walker came off early in England’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil at Wembley during the last international break and subsequently missed Premier League games against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace as well as the Champions League quarter-final first leg at the Bernabeu.
The 33-year-old returned to the bench for the 5-1 home top-flight victory over Luton Town but didn’t see any action at the Etihad.
He was due to train at the CFA today and the manager said his fitness would be assessed over the ‘next days’ before that Etihad last-eight decider.

“He feels much better but he is injured and now we will see, next days,” said the boss.
“But it’s good. If he feels good, maybe he can help us with minutes because it’s a final but I don’t want to lose him for a long time if he gets injured.
“We will decide. Tomorrow (Sunday) he is going to train a little bit. We will see what happens.
“I know how important Kyle is against the players from Real Madrid.
“But he was not in Madrid and the behaviours of Manu and John and Ruben and Josko, they played incredibly well. We know that.
“We will see.”
