Pep Guardiola believes Erling Haaland is feeling at his best as he enters his third season with Manchester City.

The Norwegian striker bagged his 10th hat-trick for the Club in City’s 4-1 Premier League victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.

Haaland has had an impressive summer and opening few weeks to the new campaign, just like the two seasons prior.

But, as each campaign progressed, Haaland went on to miss some game time through various muscular injuries.

Guardiola, however, believes that having spent another pre-season tour with the 24-year-old, Haaland is looking stronger than ever before - a statement that will be music to fan’s ears.

“He feels good,” began Guardiola.

“Last season he [Haaland] had problems with hips, problems in the ankle or the knee.

“This season, of course he takes care of himself with the physios but I have the feeling he feels sharper.

“After training sessions he stays longer to practise crossing and control or whatever. Last season it never happened because he was not perfect.

“His body has to be perfect to perform in that level and that’s why we have an incredible organisation to help the players be as comfortably as possible to perform at their best.”
