At his post-match press conference, the boss, when asked when he’d named a different pair for the eight game in a row, said: “There is no reason why.
“I would like Nathan to play more than he is playing but Aymer is playing really well.
“For this specific game, John was not quite well the last two days. He was a little bit sick, with a fever after the game with PSG. That’s why we played Aymer.
“He is suspended for the game against Aston Villa, so [it’s] a new chance for the other guys.”
