Guardiola’s City drew 0-0 at Parken Stadium in the group stages of the 2022/23 edition of the UCL.
And he’s expecting another tough encounter this time around as we take on the Lions on Tuesday with an 20:00 (UK) kick-off ahead of the deciding leg at the Etihad three weeks later.
“They had a group against Bayern Munich, United, Galatasaray, one of the toughest groups and they went through,” said the boss.
“We played two years ago and could not win there.
“Today I relax. But tomorrow I am going to start to watch them carefully. I will listen to my staff and see what they saw.

“From my experience, the first leg of the last 16 is always tricky. In my experience it’s always difficult except when we won 5-0 against Sporting Lisboa but we had five shots on target and scored five goals.
“Always it has been difficult and it will be [again].”
Heading into Tuesday’s tie, Guardiola also spoke of his delight that his team ‘still want it’ as they look to defend the trophy they won in Istanbul last time out.
“How they run, how they train every day, how they compete, still it’s there.
“We won all the games in the Champions League and now we are there.
“The team had the feeling, they still want it.
“As much they want it, it will be a problem for the opponents, that’s for sure.”
