Pep Guardiola says City are unlikely to make further additions to our squad during the January transfer window.

The mid-season trading period opens in five days’ time, giving clubs the opportunity to bolster their squads for the second half of the season.

But the Boss expects his current squad to finish the campaign, revealing potential targets haven’t been discussed with the Club’s hierarchy.

It comes after the 51-year-old reshaped his squad in the summer, as Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips, Manuel Akanji, Sergio Gomez and Stefan Ortega Moreno arrived at the Etihad Stadium.

When asked if there was an area he’d like to strengthen next month, Pep explained: “No, I don’t think so. I think we are going to finish in this way. I don’t know what’s going to happen.

“But since I arrived back from Abu Dhabi, with the sporting director, with Txiki [Begiristain] and everyone, there wasn’t any name on the table.”

Before the winter window opens, City will play two league fixtures in four days – the first coming away to Leeds on Wednesday 28 December at 20:00pm (UK), before hosting Everton on 31 December.

The clash at Elland Road represents our first Premier League fixture since the end of the World Cup as the defence of our title resumes.
