The City boss has spoken many times of his high regard for Potter and his players.
And with the Seagulls recording back-to-back 1-0 victories away to Arsenal and Tottenham in the last week, Guardiola knows his team have a tough task on their hands yet again.

“Every time we play against Brighton it is good test for us,” said Pep.
“I have a lot of admiration for how they play and the results they have got.
“But the challenge is the same as the last two weeks. We are going to play every game as a final to get an opportunity to play another one.
“We will fight until the end and try to get results.”
Guardiola was also asked at his pre-game press conference whether Liam Delap will come into his thinking in the games that remain.
The youngster has been out for several months with injury but is now making excellent progress after returning to training and beginning to play games at EDS level.
“He is training with us, he is an option, but young players need to make a step to when the situation is more comfortable,” said Pep.
“Liam was five months injured. Started last month playing regularly in the second team and now he feels much, much better.”
