If City beat West Ham, Guardiola’s team will make history as the first English men’s team ever to win four top flight crowns in a row.
Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Huddersfield Town have all managed it three times in the 136 years since league football began in England.
But no side has ever managed a quartet of triumphs, something that City are aiming for this weekend.
Guardiola stressed the milestone was not something to be taken lightly.

“I know in my meeting, they will be so focused, in training they will be focused because they know, everyone knows what we’re playing for,” the boss said.
“Something like we are not to live it again. None of us. Impossible.
“The chance to win four in a row? Any of us, [not] in our lives is going to happen again.
“You have to live it, enjoy it and think what you have to do during 95, 96, 97 minutes.”
Guardiola hailed the squad who are aiming to reach that landmark at the weekend, praising both their hunger and their humanity – summed up perfectly by the way substitutes Julian Alvarez and Jack Grealish embraced on the touchline when Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 2-0 win at Tottenham.
“The group this season is difficult to find, to replace the quality of the human beings and how they show respect,” he said.
“I saw when Erling Haaland scored the first goal against Spurs, the celebration from Julian and Jack and how they hugged on the touchline.
“You need to build that every single day.
“When they have bad moments they solve it and talk to each other.
“We’ve had conflicts between them, between me, it’s normal but how they solve it, this is the key. Because it makes our routine every day better and better.”
