Pep Guardiola says the key priority ahead of Saturday’s Old Trafford derby is for City to ‘be calm’ and to focus on our game.

Our trip to Manchester United will be the last game ahead of the November international break with City seeking to end on a high.

Guardiola’s squad will go into the match on the back of Wednesday’s impressive 4-1 Champions League win over Club Brugge.

But asked at his pre-match press conference if that had given his side a big confidence boost, the boss was unequivocal in his response.

“When you don’t score goals, it is ‘be calm for the next one’. When you score it is ‘be calm’ for the next one,” Guardiola said.

“In three days we don’t need a striker and then after that we need to buy seven strikers.

“We need to be calm and go out and do our game. That’s all.”
