Pep Guardiola hailed another superb all-round display by Ferran Tores after our 3-0 Champions League win over Olympiakos – and insisted the 20-year-old was ‘growing’ all the time.

Torres struck a superb first half goal to register his third consecutive Champions League strike for City we as made it three wins out of three in Group C.

And the City boss was full of plaudits for the impact of the young Spaniard following his summer move from Valencia.

“Yeah, Ferran played really well again, he scored a brilliant goal, it was good finishing,” Guardiola reflected.

“He moves really well with the ball, without the ball. He’s growing, it’s his first season here with us so he needs time but he’s very good, he already scored a lot of goals.

“We’re happy for his performance.”
