Pep Guardiola said he will have City in his heart for the rest of life as he bid a hugely emotional final farewell to the Club at Bank Holiday Monday’s star-studded After Party event.

After an earlier trophy parade through sun drenched Manchester city centre, thousands of City fans packed into the Co-Op Live to honour the boss after 10 glorious years at the Etihad.

That decade saw him cement his place in history as not just the greatest manager in City history but arguably the game’s most iconic leader in a staggering period that saw City amass 20 trophies.

It was also a chance to say a final farewell to John Stones and Bernardo Silva as well honouring City’s 2026 FA Cup and Carabao Cup triumphs, our Barclays Women’s Super League title triumph together with our Under-18s FA Youth Cup success.

A star-studded gallery of past and present legendary Blues figures, including Vincent Kompany, Ederson, Fernandinho, Jack Grealish, Mike Summerbee and former Director of Football Txiki Begiristain, were all present to bring out each and every trophy City have won during Pep’s decade.

And in a moving segment with Oasis legend Noel Gallagher towards the end of the ceremony, the departing boss delivered a touching and heartfelt final message to his adoring fans.

“I think first of all thank you so much for coming here tonight to say goodbye,” Pep declared.

“I feel to say bye to John and Bernie and of course all the incredible legends, Vinny, Fernandinho, Eddie, Jack and many more, thank you so much for coming.

“I really feel that connection tonight that this club, the Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, and all the people and all the City fans connected from the first minute.

“Thank you so much, I don’t have enough gratitude.

“I will always have you in my heart for the rest of my life.

“Thank you so much.”
