With fierce competition for Champions League qualification and a place in the FA Cup quarterfinals at stake against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, the City boss says every game is important on the season run-in – with many tough hurdles yet to come.
“We have two months or so [remaining this season], and every game is a final for us,” said Guardiola.
“If we lose one or two games, we will be eighth [in the Premier League].
“Everything is so tight. We have big games before internationals – Nottingham Forest are third and Brighton are there, too.
“Then we have long weeks to prepare well and have good training [sessions].
“We have to be focused on what the team needs, the Club needs and [Plymouth] is most important right now.”
