Pep Guardiola praised Jack Grealish in the aftermath of our 3-1 Premier League win against Leeds United at Elland Road, describing the 27-year-old as one of the most loved players in his squad.

Grealish had a mixed game, missing two gilt-edged chances in the first period before producing two assists in the second, the first also demonstrating his tenacious spirit, as he laid on Erling Haaland’s double in fine fashion.

Guardiola says Grealish needs to improve his finishing, but stressed he was delighted with the unselfishness he showed to create two of our goals.

“He was good,” Guardiola said of Grealish’s performance at Elland Road.

“In the first half he missed chances and has to improve on that. It’s just mentality and to be aggressive to score.

“He showed the quality to be generous. He’s incredibly loved by everyone. He’s so humble and they were perfect assists for Erling.”
