Kyle Walker, John Stones, Phil Foden and Raheem Sterling will all return to the City Football Academy this Monday following a prolonged end of season break.
Their extended rest period comes after they all played their part in a Three Lions side who reached their first major international final in 55 years at this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament.
Speaking after Saturday’s Community Shield defeat to Leicester, Guardiola hailed the quartet’s international achievements, insisting City will reap the benefits from that success.
However, he also added that they must come back with a fresh mindset, ready to attack the new season rather than looking back on their previous triumphs.
“All of them played really well. I am glad and happy for them. They have played many years together and they made an incredible achievement,” the boss reflected.
“When you reach the final of the Euros it is a big thing. They have to be happy and so proud that they could help England make a good tournament.

“Of course, they have to be so proud of what they have done with their national team, the benefits, the confidence will be there.
“But the past is the past. What you have done with the national team is for the memories. The challenge is ahead of us and we will try to do a good season.”
