Pep Guardiola paid tribute to the fight his players showed in a frustrating 0-0 draw against rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford
Guardiola‘s side dominated the 183rd Manchester derby but failed to break down a resilient United defence in a hard-fought performance at Old Trafford.
The best chance of the game fell the way of Riyad Mahrez, midway through the first half, however the Algerian saw his one-on-one effort denied by David De Gea.
City’s control continued throughout but were unable to break the deadlock. Despite this, Guardiola believes his team showed passion and fight throughout.
“Without spectators it looks like it lacks intensity but from the touchline I see the players fight.”
He added. It’s a good point. I would like to win but okay, it’s Old Trafford we cannot forget.”
