Having joined the Club in 2013, Mancisidor has gone on to play a key role helping bring the best out of City’s highly regarded goalkeeping unit.
His impact has been a key component in our success under first Manuel Pellegrini, who brought him to the Club, and more latterly Guardiola over the past six memorable seasons.
And asked to describe Mancisidor’s impact at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s return to Premier League action at home to Southampton, Pep’s response was unequivocal.
“Xabi’s the best,” Guardiola declared
“He is the best. Tactically and (with) the quality of the training sessions... Xabi is beyond good.”
