The England international amassed 50 appearances in 2022/23 in all competitions – scoring five goals and registering 11 assists as we lifted the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup.
Although he’s made 31 outings in total this season, the 28-year-old has been hampered by injury issues which has limited him to only 17 Premier League showings.
After missing five league matches across February and March, Grealish returned to play back-to-back full 90 minutes in league wins over Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
He then delivered a Man of the Match display in our 3-3 draw away at Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg tie.
And Guardiola says the skilful midfielder is ready to play a vital role at the business end of the season as we fight on three fronts.
“We are really pleased [with him],” Guardiola declared.
“We miss him. He has to continue until the end. In that level is the Jack we know him and his personality.
“The same [as everyone], he has to improve in some departments, finishing for example, but this is the Jack we know of last season that helped us again to do it [win the Big Five].
“This season unfortunately he could not there. I’m pretty sure he has learned the lesson and try to help us in the next half.
“Not [just] next year but the years he has ahead of him for his career [hopefully he] can perform in that level.”
