A win against Manchester United in Sunday’s Manchester Derby could extend our lead at the top of the Premier League to 17 points, and would also see our winning run reach an incredible 16 matches.
And while Guardiola maintains there is still a long way to go before the end of the campaign, he is delighted by how the season is shaping up.
He said: “We have been magnificent, no one can deny it, but you don’t win in march.
“But I see something in the team. Everyone wants to win.”

Nonetheless, the City boss was also quick to stress that there is still a long way to go before his side are the finished article.
Guardiola believes a constant strive for perfection will help his side get over the line, but admits the biggest challenge is then maintaining those heights.
“We always think we can do better. But it’s about how we handle good moments,” he pointed out.
“When you win something, it doesn’t mean you will win in the future.
“I remember when we won the second season - City will win the next five years.
“We won a second one and then Liverpool win, and then people say they will dominate. Look what happened.”
