Selhurst Park is seen as one of the Premier League’s most hostile grounds and Pep Guardiola is expecting a stern test at the home of Crystal Palace this weekend.

We face the Eagles on their own patch this Saturday, with a 17:30 (UK) kick-off for live coverage on Sky Sports.

Guardiola insists that every game – home and away – in the English top-flight is fraught with danger and he insists that this latest encounter for his sky blues will be no different.

He said: “Premier League, every game away is difficult. At home as well.

“But Selhurst Park always has been, yeah definitely.

“Crystal Palace always in the previous seasons especially at home we struggled a lot to get results.”

One of the reasons for his respect of our opponents is their head coach, Patrick Vieira, a colossus in midfield for the likes of Cannes, AC Milan, Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan and City before he hung up his boots to start a managerial career that has taken in City EDS, New York City, Nice and now Palace.

He continued: “Well I’ve not been with him to know exactly in the locker room.

“But his experience as a football player, a part of that he was in France, already have a big experience with Crystal Palace.

“He’s done a really good job.”

Guardiola also revealed he’s not expecting any change to travel plans for the visit to Palace, in spite of the inclement weather currently gripping parts of the country.
