Our scheduled Premier League game with Spurs last weekend was cancelled as part of a nationwide mark of respect in the wake of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
With the season also facing a six week break in mid-November due to the winter World Cup finals, it means we will need to find another gap in a congested calendar in the New Year to try and accommodate the fixture.
The City boss however says he is confident the authorities and Clubs will find a solution to the issue.
“The Premier League has the ability to find fixtures,” said Guardiola, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash at home to Borussia Dortmund.
“Maybe the Tottenham game will be in February or March because now it is not possible. We will find a way. Carabao Cup and FA Cup, we will find a way, no problem.
“Always the fixtures are so tight every season. Now we stop at winter time like in Germany always is and we will see how they come back.
“We have seven Premier League games, five at home, it depends on the Arsenal game being postponed and after we will see how players come back from the World Cup.
“After we make last three, four months and competitions and see what we can do to be there.”
