Pep Guardiola says Phil Foden has the support of everyone at Manchester City as he seeks a return to his best form.

The 24-year-old has had a difficult campaign after claiming a swathe of individual honours last term for his role in our fourth Premier League title in a row.

He has this week admitted to being frustrated by his season, citing issues away from the pitch as well as concerns about his ankle.

MATCH PREVIEW | FULHAM V CITY

It has culminated in our Academy graduate missing out on Thomas Tuchel’s latest England squad.

Asked about Foden in Friday’s press conference before Sunday’s crucial Premier League final day trip to Fulham, Guardiola stated he just wants to help the midfielder.

“It’s true Phil said that,” he said.

“We’re family for him, a baby boy in the academy to become a star with us. We want to help him.

“He needs rest and it’ll happen now after Sunday. Step by step he’ll be back.

“We want to help him, that’s what we want. I don’t care about performance on the pitch.

“I want him to feel good and then the rest will come.”
