City made it four wins in a row in the Premier League – and five in all competitions – after Friday’s night’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Wolves at the Etihad.
Kevin De Bruyne’s 35th minute strike proved the difference and fired City back up into third place in the table and just three points behind Arsenal though the Gunners do have a game in hand.
However, asked at the post-match press conference whether City’s target was now trained on overhauling Arsenal, the boss was unequivocal in his reply.
“They have a game in hand. It is not the target,” Pep stressed.
“Qualification for the Champions League and the FA Cup final [is our target].
