Pep Guardiola has told his players to be prepared to face a fired up Sevilla side in Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League clash.

The Spaniards have yet to register a victory in La Liga this season, after finishing in fourth place last year.

However, Guardiola expects that to make Julen Lopetegui’s men even more dangerous - especially with the support of the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan behind them.

Sevilla v City | Match preview

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he said: “They won’t be concerned with just defending. We have to be prepared because they will be aggressive.

“This competition is played with a lot of enthusiasm. More so in a stadium like this one. We have to be prepared for that. We have to crank up the pace.

“There is a great emotional component here, much more than just tactics.”
