But one positive was that our Ballon d’Or winner again completed the entire game as he works his way back to full fitness following a long lay-off with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
It was only his fourth 90 minutes this season but sees him step up his involvement after 30, 45 and 30 minute displays in the previous three matches against Brighton, Exeter and Newcastle.
“Rodri will play better and then everyone will play better when the team will play better,” Guardiola said.
“Of course, he comes from 18 months out, it’s normal that you need the time.
“It’s a positive that he played 90 minutes and played good.
“Of course there are setbacks. But his personality to go there of course is necessary.”
