Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo had us in control at the break following a superb opening 45 minutes but a double by Dominic Solanke made it 2-2 at full-time.
After the disappointing draw, Guardiola’s City are now six points behind Arsenal at the summit of the table, after the Gunners defeated Leeds 4-0 at Elland Road on Saturday.
Despite the frustration felt in the camp, the manager said his team would continue to battle for the crown as we also fight in the League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League.
“We’re 14 games to play,” he said.
MATCH REPORT | TOTTENHAM 2-2 CITY
“We are there and continuing, all the calendar is what it is, and now have a semi-final to reach the final next Wednesday and after that Anfield and continue.
“This is what we have to do.
“As much as the chance is there, the hopes always will be there. It happens.
“So I know that these types of games always in the past we find a way to win it, right?
“But today it did not happen. But, we have the difficulties for many things, but the players are coming back and I saw an incredible spirit in many things.
“I think Erling is in incredible shape. And I think Nico, Bernardo and Rodri in the middle gave us incredible presence and physicality that we needed that in the last games we were not consistent with the ball and especially without, and they were really good to make the process.
“And after that, the momentum in the Premier League, when you concede a goal, when it happens it happens.
“Once again, that will make us stronger and better, especially for many players in the future.”
