Guardiola’s side face Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday and West Ham on Sunday with two wins from those games guaranteeing us the top-flight title.
Heading into the midweek match in the capital, Guardiola dismissed notions of approaching the vital clash in relaxed mood, stressing that pressure is paramount in these situations.
“The right tension and right focus has to be there,” the manager told waiting journalists at his pre-match press conference.
“You play these games if we are relaxed it’s a big problem. We demand the best.
“Maybe they are going to be play, depends on today, for qualification for the Champions League - a huge target for them.
“At the same time we have a huge target as well.
“We know what we are playing for and how difficult it is to be here again.
“We have something unique in front of us. We have to give our best performance, give absolutely everything and try to read exactly the game we are going to play and try to interpret it as best as possible and go.”
