After a hectic period, which has seen City play six European matches inside two months, the focus will now switch to domestic matters – with the immediate priority Tuesday’s night’s important Premier League home game against West Brom
When asked if he felt the campaign was now entering a new stage at his pre-match press conference, the City boss concurred.
“Yes, I completely agree,” Guardiola asserted.

“In the Premier League so far, the European teams play different conditions to everyone else whereas now everyone plays the same amount of games in the Premier League. We are lucky to play in the Champions League of course.”
However, the boss also insisted it would be foolish to look too far ahead and he insisted that his only focus was trained on the challenge posed by Slaven Bilic’s team.
“For now, my only concern is this week and especially tomorrow’s game against West Bromwich,” Guardiola declared.
