Haaland has been a revelation since joining City in 2022, breaking goalscoring record after goalscoring record and helping the Blues to six major trophies including a Treble triumph and a history-making four Premier League titles on the spin.
The 25-year-old has also won two Golden Boots in his first three seasons and leads the race for the goalscoring gong this season.
He has a whopping 22 goals from 29 games in the top-flight as well as seven assists while in the Champions League he has seven goals from just nine matches.
The Norwegian, though, has now gone a month without a goal, his last coming in February’s 3-0 home Premier League success over Fulham in February.
Discussing his Norwegian hitman, Guardiola stressed the complexity of playing centre-forward in the modern game.
“For Erling Haaland to play striker, do you know how many central defenders today was there - 200 hundred million,” the boss said.
“Do you know many holding midfielders go close to the central defenders in there?
“It’s the most difficult position on the planet so for that we have to deliver with wingers to put it there. Always we try.
“It’s not easy and sometimes we have periods and we have to accept it.”
