Pep Guardiola couldn't hide his delight after a sensational City comeback win at West Ham United on Saturday.

The boss, returning to the dugout after a recent back operation, saw his team control the game for much of the first half without success before James Ward-Prowse put the hosts in front.

City responded superbly after the break with goals from Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland turning it around to extend our 100% record in the Premier League to five games.

With the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic and Jack Grealish all unavailable and most of the squad returning from international duty, Guardiola was thrilled with the effort his players put in.

“We made so many chances in 90 minutes against a team that sits so deep – I’m so incredibly proud of my team,” he said.

“It’s a great win for us with all the injury problems we have within our squad.

“We spoke at half-time because we were really, really good in the first half and in the second at times we were lucky and we had to be patient and wait for our chances, but it was really good the way we played.”
