City travel to Championship side Peterborough on Tuesday evening hoping to book our spot in the FA Cup quarter-final for a fourth successive season.
But one man with conflicting loyalties in tonight’s 19:15 (UK) kick-off is Alan White – a lifelong City fan who has also worked for his local club, Peterborough, for 50 years!
Having initially worked on the turnstiles since the age of 17, White remains a regular at all of the Posh’s home matches but makes the journey up to the Etihad whenever his local side are on the road.
White was in attendance at the only previous encounter between the two sides, in which City ran out 1-0 winners in an FA Cup clash in 1981, and admits he’s delighted to finally get the cup draw he’s always dreamed of once again.
