Manchester City’s Phil Foden visited Manchester City Academy coach Jamie Carr at the City Football Academy to learn all about Jamie’s Nothing Venture Campaign.

Phil spent time with Jamie getting to grips with the ocean rowing boat and learning all about what it takes to row across an ocean.

Commenting on the challenge, Phil said: “I do not know how you row for hours. It is crazy.”

The City Academy coach will soon set sail across the Atlantic Ocean as he rows 3,000 nautical miles solo to Antigua from the Canary Islands as part of his Nothing Ventured Campaign.

Jamie is raising money for The Clubs Charity, City in the Community (CITC) and Cancer Fund for Children in his native Ireland.

Here in Manchester, the funds will support CITC’s ‘City Thrive’ programme, which aims to develop young people’s understanding of mental health.

Jamie has previously ran six ultra-marathons in six days across the Sahara Desert during the Marathon Des Sables as part of the first challenge of his 2022 campaign.

Thank you to Manchester City’s Official Supporters Club, Axi, CTM, Image Group and Conferma Pay for supporting and sponsoring Jamie’s campaign.

CITC are celebrating the countdown to Jamie Carr’s second challenge of his Nothing Ventured Campaign with a matchday takeover at our Premier League home game with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, September 10.

Head over to CITC’s Instagram to follow action from the day and participate in some fun activities all related to Jamie’s challenge.
