Foden, 24, has now racked up an impressive 298 appearances for the Club. The boy from Stockport is also on the verge of adding his name to the hundred club, an elite list of players to have hit 100 goals for City.
Murphy, 19, has just begun her senior career and definitely valued getting to hear from Foden on how he’s remained grounded and focused on becoming one of the most exciting players in the English top-flight.
But the young Women’s player does already have plenty to be proud of with match minutes increasing, a Derby Day goal and UEFA Women’s Champions League strike to her name, the sky is the limit for the winger.
From chatting about childhood heroes to which senior players helped them progress, Murphy and Foden caught up about their similar pathways to the Barclays Women’s Super League and the Premier League.
Both have also scored in a Manchester Derby, something local kids dream of, so hearing their feelings on what the moment meant to them is heart-warming.
