With several club legends moving on and several squad players also finding pastures new, it has been one of the busiest summer windows in the Club’s history.
Nunes, now fully recovered from an ankle injury and speaking to the press ahead of our clash with Porto on Tuesday evening, couldn’t be more impressed with calibre of players the Blues have recruited over the past few months.
“I think it’s incredible - the players [the Club] brought in are so good - the best players for the teams they were playing for, and we are happy to have them,” said Nunes.
Asked if the influx of new talent made meant a period of integration would be needed, Nunes added: “It is the way it is. We have to get used to it. Sometimes players go and new players come in and we have to pass on the DNA and identity of the club.
“They are happy to be here and it’s part of the process.”
