Oleksandr Zinchenko believes that City will learn and improve after the 3-2 Premier League defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

City had a seemingly commanding 2-0 lead after goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden, but the Seagulls made their extra man advantage count after Joao Cancelo was dismissed in the tenth minute, completing a second-half comeback to take the three points.

Zinchenko played the entire 90 minutes at the Amex Stadium and feels that the defeat will prove to be a good learning curve for Pep Guardiola‘s side.

“It was a tough game for us,” he admitted. “The result was not what we wanted. I think when we were leading 2-0 we should defend a bit better. We should be more focused.

“We’re going to learn from this game. We still have one more game in the Premier League.

“It’s always difficult to play with one player less. All game it’s a bit tough but still, it’s a good test for us. We have to take the best from it and improve ourselves.”
