Raheem Sterling has urged City to keep on winning in the Premier League after defeating Leicester City 6-3 to stretch the winning run to nine matches.

Sterling netted twice at the Etihad Stadium, with Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Aymeric Laporte also getting their names on the scoresheet in a Boxing Day thriller.

Sterling wants Pep Guardiola‘s side to continue the winning run that sees the team at the top of the table.

“We want to keep that run going,” he said. “I think it’s nine games in the Premier League now, we want to keep it going.

“It’s game after game, that mentality, we keep doing it and we need to keep getting them wins.

“It’s been a decent start so far, we need to keep the focus and go into the new year with the same mentality.

“We need to keep going and that’s all we can do.”

The attacker also touched on his own personal form and his disappointment at conceding three goals against the Foxes.
