Pep Guardiola says he enjoys this crunch part of the football calendar the most because it’s decisive when the trophies are handed out.

City are in the FA Cup final and in the running for the Premier League title, with six games remaining in the 2023/24 campaign.

The UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup winners are third in the top-flight, four points behind Arsenal but with two matches in hand as we eye a record-breaking fourth successive triumph in the competition.

Guardiola says he likes many parts of the season but this one is the most rewarding because there’s so much riding on every match.

“We have been here in the last years fortunately many times so that’s why we know what we are playing for.”

“The best for the players is important,” he added.
