Pep Guardiola’s side face the reigning Danish Superliga champions at Parken Stadium on Tuesday 13 February at 20:00 (UK), as the defence of our European crown continues.
The Blues reached the knockout phase by topping Group G, which contained RB Leipzig, Young Boys and Red Star Belgrade, with 18 points.
Jacob Neestrup’s side, meanwhile, secured passage into the Round of 16 by finishing second in Group A above Galatasaray and Manchester United.
And former Club captain, Dunne, is expecting an eventful European tie when City travel to Denmark.
“They [Copenhagen] don’t take a backwards step,” he explained on our Matchday Live broadcast for City v Everton.
“They have some really talented young forwards in their side and they score goals. They’ll have a go.
“Whether they’re strong enough to withstand what City can control with them, I don’t think they are, but it should be a fun match.
“They won’t be afraid and I think they’ll have a good shot at trying to take one over City.
“Between now and the end of the season it [City’s starting XI] will be rotated all the time.
“There will be certain players the manager will be thinking ‘we need him for that game’ or ‘we need him fresh for that game’.
“The players will want to play all of them, but this is how he [Guardiola] keeps them happy and sharp in what they’re doing.
“They’ll all get the correct number of minutes and be important in the team in the quest for another Treble.
“ I think Kevin [De Bruyne] might start and Jack Grealish because he likes to keep the ball in European football a bit more.
“You can’t pick a bad team for City with the squad they’ve got, they’re all good players. It’s great problem to have.”
