Rodrigo believes City’s mental toughness is what has enabled us to win a record four Premier Leagues in a row.

We made history on Sunday when a 3-1 victory over West Ham confirmed the 10th top-flight title in our history and a sixth under Pep Guardiola.

Throughout English football’s long history, no side had ever previously won the league more than three years in a row.

However, Rodrigo and his team-mates have achieved just that and lifted a third trophy in 2023/24 after the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World successes earlier in the campaign.

Having been the dominant side in English football during Guardiola’s reign, Rodrigo insists there is one factor that sets City apart from our competitors.

“Mentality,” he said

“We have the best players and one of the best generations I have seen in Europe but the only way to achieve this is every day.

“It’s the toughest thing in football to keep winning. We won at Tottenham away and we never won there.

“Last nine games we must win because of Arsenal. We are so excited about what we have achieved but the repercussion of what we have done, the change of the history of the Club, we will realise in a few years.

“I am very proud of the way I grow in this league and this team from the first year to now. The way I build my winning mentality. I am very proud of myself, my family, my team-mates. We deserve it because of all the effort we put in right until the end.”
