The unsuspecting BTEC students were surprised at Connell College, during what they thought was a normal lesson, learning about nutrition.
The competition saw two participants team up with Ruben and to go head-to-head with the other students, to see who could make the best smoothie.

Speaking about his visit to the college, Ruben said:
“It was fun, my team won, and all the kids were really nice and easy going.
“I love education. Every year that goes by in my life, the more I want to be a good influence in it and obviously these little things might mean more than some of us might think, and I’m very happy to be part of it.”
Delivered in colleges across Greater Manchester, City BTEC is a two-year education programme, which sees dedicated coaches deliver a holistic education of football, supporting those who want to develop their skills and abilities on the pitch as well as receiving classroom- based education.
The team currently delivers in three sixth form colleges, Oldham College, Ashton Sixth Form and Connell College.
