Ruben Dias says he is delighted to have made his debut in what he considers to be the best league in world football.

Dias has been in Manchester for less than a week after joining City from Benfica, but delivered a fine display in our 1-1 draw at Leeds.

And although he says he is disappointed City didn’t get the three points, he feels getting 90 minutes under his belt will help him settle.

“Very happy for my debut – but obviously not happy at all with result we wanted to win this match so badly,” he said.

“But we have to keep improving and working on that victorious mentality. First game and I am really happy with my debut.

“Obviously, it’s just one match but the intensity, the quality of the pitch – it’s the top league.”
