Ruben Dias says the character and unity of City’s squad and fans will help us overcome a difficult period right now.

A 2-0 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday made it four losses in a row in the Premier League for the champions.

The Anfield result also saw City slip down to fifth place in the table.

It’s a challenging moment but the Portuguese central defender, who made a welcome return to action after more than a month out injured, says he saw enough - both on the pitch and from the City travelling fans - to know that a reversal in fortunes in not far away.

“It’s a difficult period but today I saw a lot of character,” stressed the City centre back.

“And I saw most definitely how we are going to move forward.

“I’ll focus on the big picture and the big picture is that even though it was difficult one I did see a lot character

“And I did see the fans behind us and that’s the only way we are going to get through it.”
