The German goalkeeper has arrived in Manchester ahead of the start of training before the 2022/23 campaign.
Having only previously played in his home country, Ortega Moreno is ready to embrace the challenges that come with moving to a different nation.
“Everything is new,” he said.
“I will try to learn every day more and more how the club is working. I am really excited to train on the highest level.”
The 29-year-old was speaking to the media for the first time since signing for the Club, shortly after meeting the fans at a sun-drenched Etihad Stadium.
One of the key factors for Ortega Moreno in making the move to Manchester was the opportunity to work with Pep Guardiola.
He stated: “Pep is one of the best managers in the world.
“I am really interested to see how he works. I can improve and learn every day from him and my other teammates.”
