Ilkay Gundogan may be off for pastures new but he departs leaving so many happy memories in the sky blue of City.
Gundogan conducted himself with class on and off the field after coming in as Pep Guardiola’s first signing in June 2016.
He showed style and substance in the centre ground when he played as well as dignity and determination off it with his variety of charity projects.
He scored vital goals – braces against Aston Villa and Manchester United in the last two seasons the standouts - and excelled as a captain in his final campaign, lifting the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
In total over seven successful seasons, he won 14 major honours.
