Son fired through Ederson’s legs to open the scoring after five minutes, having been played in by Tanguy Ndombele’s lofted through ball and Lo Celso sealed the win when he drilled under the City goalkeeper immediately after coming on as a second half substitute.
Aymeric Laporte had a goal disallowed with the score at 1-0, with VAR ruling Gabriel Jesus had committed a handball in the build-up and for all City were assured in possession, we couldn’t find a way through the sea of white shirts.
