Pep Guardiola knows his City side will have to do something we haven’t before if we’re to beat Tottenham Hotspur in Friday’s FA Cup fourth round clash.

Despite a glittering period of success under the Catalan, City are still yet to score at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in five visits.

Since its opening in 2019, we have lost on every trip to the hosts’ new ground including four Premier League games and the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final.

However, Guardiola doesn’t believe his side’s performances at the ground have been particularly poor, with City having had 84 shots across our matches there.

Ahead of the latest trip, the boss is well aware his players will have to convert those chances into goals if we’re to reach the last 16 without the aide of a replay.

“That’s the reality. How tough it is for us,” he stated in Thursday’s pre-match press conference.

“In the knockout stage to go through you have to score goals otherwise it’s impossible. This is an opportunity to break it.

“The feeling is most of the times we were, exceptional is not the right word because we could not win but we played really good. The way we behaved and the way we played was good.

“The reality is that no goals and defeats. They are much better than us.”
