Hawke, founder of his own ‘Greeters Guild’, went viral last year after footage of him hilariously interacting with customers outside shops such as Tesco, Waitrose and B&Q blew up on social media.
So, ahead of the 2022/23 season, we decided to invite Hawke, known as ‘the Errol Flynn of the high street’, to the CFA in order for him to give each member of the squad a quick pep talk to help get them in the mood for the upcoming USA Tour and the season ahead.
Clearly, it worked with Pep Guardiola’s men winning the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup in what will go down as a season to remember.
So we decided to bring Hawke back to chat with our players as they readied themselves for their bus tour around Manchester city centre in front of thousands of adoring, appreciative fans.
As you might expect, he was in fine form as his cultured, comedic act went down a storm with the City players, including Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne, Nathan Ake, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland.
