August 24 2008. Vincent Kompany pulled on a City shirt for the very first time.

He started in midfield before moving to centre-half - and put in a man-of-the-match display as City beat West Ham 3-0. All in a day’s work.

It was, of course, a sign of things to come.

Vincent would go on to play 360 times and score 20 goals during a distinguished 11-year stay in Manchester, winning four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shields.

A City legend.

It seems like the perfect time to look back on his debut via the video above!
